Coffee Review for this coffee in March of 2012.Bright, bold structure with flavors of graham cracker and juicy stone fruit. Finish is clean and candied. La Joya is a small 25 hectare farm located on the steep slopes of Acatenango. It is surrounded by lush virgin forest filled with abundant wildlife. Gravilea shade trees are mixed with native trees to protect the coffee understory from sun and wind. After drying, the La Joya is sealed in Grain-Pro barrier packaging and then sent on its way to our Roastery where we preserve the green coffee under seal until it is roasted.
This coffee is a part of the Barrington Green Seal Program© which preserves the vibrancy of the green coffee by storing it in a sealed environment before roasting. We have secured this lot in its entirety.La Joya was awarded a Guatemala Cup of Excellence Award in 2008.
